The veal was the best I’ve ever had, and the calamarata was so good we ordered a second dish after we finished the first.
For a Cunningham restaurant we were very underwhelmed. The food was just ok. The Veal was our favorite but it was meat with a reduction sauce on a plate and that was all. The biggest disappointment was the dessert- tiramisu which was deep fried donuts with a dollop of mascarpone mousse and a bit of chocolate on the side. only 3 weeks in and Nesso doesn't disappoint. All the recommendations from our server were spot on. Some of the items, I feel, needed instructions on how to eat the various tastes together, but when balanced, were perfect! Portions are comfortable enough, and we were stuffed by the end. The limoncello was a bust. Otherwise - everything else was great. Fun cocktails as well.
We decided to have a date night at Nesso and weren't disappointed! We shared some raw plates and a couple of pasta dishes and everything was so unique, flavorful and exceeded our expectations. Count on sharing small plates with your party and order a couple of your favorite cocktails. Our recommendations: Capesante (scallops crudo plate) and the Calamarate & Tortelloni (primi pasta plates).
