We had a very nice visit. When we reserved our spot, we mentioned it was a special occasion. It wasn't an OVERLY special occasion but we were celebrating 1) a new job and 2) the fact that in nearly 6 years, we really haven't had a "dinner and a movie" date night since probably our very first date. Tried Nesso for the first time. All was good.
First course and drinks were superb. Waiter was attentive. Nice ambiance and classy. Risotto was amazing! My wife ordered Frutti di Mare as main course and unfortunately there were more unopened clams and mussels than opened ones and the octopus was over cooked. Hopefully they improved their techniques on seafood. We would definitely try again, but the main course this time was disappointing.
I attended Nesso for a work dinner and it didn't disappoint! Our server was amazing and new all the details about every dish. The food is fresh, and the plates are one of a kind! I really recommend trying this new restaurant out with family, friends or for a work function.
Finally, Indianapolis has an upscale Italian restaurant! We totally enjoyed our first dining experience at Nesso Coastal Italia. The lobster/mushroom pasta special was delicious. The starters were all good and the deserts also pleased (we had the spumoni). We will definitely come back again.
Our third time here at Nesso. Fabulous, authentic Italian. Creative, fresh, phenomenal wine list. An definite asset to downtown dining!
It was good. Expected better. Only open 2 months and still working on food. Changed chef. Will try again in a couple months. Hope to see excellence and changes being implemented. Has great potential.
Not your typical Italian pasta filled restaurant. Beautiful presentation, mouthwatering flavors, "delicious" doesn't beging to describe. Definitely request Brandon as your server. He recommended and led us through the menu with the perfect recommendations and parings. The flavors melded on the tongue with complete complimentary unison. Good experience as a diner. Food and wine appropriate and inventive. We told our server that we had a tight timeframe that we barely met because restaurant got really busy really fast. The service personnel had a hard time keeping things orderly for the time during which we needed to be done and leaving. Won't keep me from coming back but I probably wouldn't come when I have a tight timeframe again.
