The food was good. The value dropped when we involve the waiter and bartender. Pre-meal drinks where ordered (French Martinis). The bartender knew they didn’t have the right liquor or mixes, but passed a drink to the waiter who also knew the drink couldn’t be made but delivered the imitation anyway - and said nothing. Dinner was great. However we had a reservation and got sat at an uncomfortable table in the bar which ruined the ambience.
Server Neil was attentive and knowledgeable and not overbearing. My pasta with clams was dry and gummy. Any light wine sauce must have been absorbed in over cooking. Did not come with ordered side parmesan. We could not hear each other talk! Being busy does add to a fun atmosphere but maybe some textured walls or ceilings could help dampen the noise? The layout of the restaurant left little privacy at our table for dinner. I felt like I was eating in the middle of a bus terminal. My bottle of wine was removed from my table and view and taken to the other side of the restaurant without permission. The cork was also removed from the table without my permission.
