Been going to them for 30 plus years but service has gone waaaay downhill and today we the end. Have a dog who is sick and there are no openings for three (3) weeks. In the past they would find a way to squeeze one in for a sick animal. Of course I could call X vet - but did not have their phone number. Time before this they wanted to run a large number of test in case the test they ran that day came back positive. I said no and of course - the text came back negative. I’ve been using NMAH for 20+ years. The last two days they have just strung me along after my dog was at an emergency clinic on Sunday. Trying to follow up with MY vet and they wouldn’t look at his records yesterday, so far today they still won’t. He’s suffering and after calling another vet they referred me to they say he needs to be seen again today so I give NM another chance but all of their emergency slots are now full. No longer a fan, sadly. Our indoor-only, 13 year old kitty got out and spent several days outside recently. Once we got him back in I called to make an appointment for him to be checked over and the staff here said they couldn’t see him until the end of November. Called around, got some recommendations and took Somerset offered to get him in the next morning for a full check and some blood work just to make sure everything was ok. Won’t be headed back here even though we’ve been clients for years.

Hi Nora, After reading the notes the CSR made that you spoke to, I’m worried there was a miscommunication in regards to how urgently he needed to be seen. We do set aside same day sick appointments, and often times squeeze patients in to try to see as many as we can each day. However, we don’t usually do this for wellness care and “check ups”, as we have to prioritize sick patients first. We have used this practice for over 30 years but when I called this morning to try to get an appointment for my cat with an ear problem they informed me the soonest appointment was November!! This is NOT acceptable. At first I thought it was a joke!! They were serious!! It use to be a wonderful place filled with compassion for all animals and when you called because your animal was sick they would squeeze you in.

Not impressed with appointment availability for an injured animal. 2 weeks before you can be seen for a dog limping? Doesn’t seem safe. Been taking animals here for 35 years. Going to have to start looking elsewhere.

HORRIBLE SERVICE. I would absolutely NOT recommend for toy breeds. When the vet mentioned that she didn’t have much l experience with toy breeds I should have RUN. I brought my 2.9 lb yorkie puppy in for her second and third set of shots. Our breeder warned us not to get the Lepto shot because of reactions, she also recommended we spread out the shots because of her size. The vet told us that the breeder didn’t know what she was talking about so we took the vets advice. My dog was very very sick after her shot. She was shak... read more
