Get directionsYour staff was absolutely wonderful, very caring and compassionate. Your care of Buddy was outstanding!
Very professional, and caring. It was a long wait on a Sunday but that's to be expected. Good staff and vets.
Business response:
Thanks for sharing your experience with us, David! We hope “Don Quijote” is continuing to recover well at home. He is certainly lucky to have such observant pet parents!
When they are busy, they are very busy so the wait is pretty awful as time goes...I have been there twice on weekends in last few months and both times I was there almost 2 hours....once the vet assessed my cat last nite- I had been there about 25 min...no biggie, but waiting over an hour for a vet tech to give shots is a little agitating; same thing last visit. I give them a 5 though because they are open all hours for emergencies and the staff themselves are great....Dr. Matthew was the best as well.
Business response:
Thank you for your generous feedback, Brandi! We’re glad we could be there for you and Felix (hope he is doing better). Our goal is to always deliver the best service; your feedback lets me know we need to work on updating our clients during extending wait times. We appreciate your comments and promise to do better if you or Felix need to visit us again.
We brought our Sugar Glider (exotic pet), Big Momma in very sick. She passed away unfortunately, but her end of life care was the best they could provide..even though no exotic vet was onsite. Thank you to your staff for their heartfelt condolences and professional demeanor.
Business response:
Charlene, thank you for your kind words. We know all too well how difficult it is to say goodbye to a beloved pet companion. We are glad we were able to provide some comfort during this tough process and please don’t hesitate to give us a call should you need anything.
We had our dog there twice in one day for sime extra pain management due to hip issues. The staff was courteous, wasrm and supoortive. Due to the time span in between our visits, we had two vets taking care of our. Both were through and spot-on in diagnoses and care. I am eternally grateful for that Fort Wayne has such a professional and caring cirital care facility for our pets.
Our dog, Ellie, had a very challenging immune disorder that required the attention of an Internal Medicine specialist, blood transfusions, and ultimately, some creative approaches to try to "reboot" her immune system. Those approaches were scripted by the Internal Medicine specialist, Dr. Totten. Ellie spent many days and nights at NIVES, over the course of about six weeks. Dr. Totten and the NIVES staff were very committed to keeping us informed and were very gracious about letting us visit with Ellie. Ellie's veterinar... read more

Thank you for your kind words, Joni. You and your family were clearly so dedicated to Ellie; our entire team is thinking of you during this difficult time. She was a very sweet soul and we are honored to have been trusted with her care. Dr. Totten & her team are indeed wonderful and we are very glad Dr. Stresemann & Keely were able to make your final goodbye as comforting as possible. Those moments are hard on us all. Please know you are in our prayers and Ellie will be missed.
We have used NIVES for many years and have always been very happy. On our first visit, the staff correctly diagnosed our dog with Addison's disease, after the primary vet had missed even after several visits and tests. That was 9 years ago and she continues to do fine. I have no doubt that we would have lost her within days if not for NIVES. On our most recent visit, we had to euthanize our other dog. While this was an otherwise horrible situation, we could not have been more pleased with the staff. Dr. Stresemann was incred... read more
