She had a bad reaction to anesthesia that was almost fatal, so our regular Vet referred us to Northgate because of Dr. Baker's excellent reputation as a specialist. RecommendedI have a boy, one of my show dogs, who broke off the tip of his rt lower canine. My choices were not great: 1) surgically remove the tooth; 2) leave it alone until it abscessed, then have it surgically removed, or; 3) come see Dr. Baker, who I trust, and have a root canal done. RecommendedEverything about Northgate is great! Their receptionists are always cheerful, informative, and patient. My pets have never been cared for by a doctor, technician, or assistant that wasn't concerned and honest about care or cost. I can honestly say they think about the animals first--not money. RecommendedI have been coming to Northgate for many years for the care of my Italian Greyhounds. Rex pasted away last Christmas, but his brother Roman is still alive and almost 16 1/2 years old. He has multiple health problems, but Dr. Baker and staff listen to my concerns and home observations and we chart the best course of action for his continued care. Although I live in Springfield, it is worth the trip to Decatur to come to Northgate.
