Whomever she is working today(6/6/21), she is rude as fck, been there a couple of times and thought maybe she had a bad day. Naw, this morning lady is flat out rude. I will never take my business there again

Called an hour before our scheduled pick up to tell us the customer had not returned the truck so now we didn't have one. They did try and call other places for us and found one at Rovers end Marina another 20miles from us( charged by the miles). Rivers end was a little cheaper on mileage price, we had to go a truck size up because that's all they had. I would not recommend this place.

DO NOT USE IF YOU ARE RENTING A UHAUL! Worst experience ever. They did not have my U-Haul rental ready at the time specified, delaying my move by 2 hours. Staff is rude and unprofessional. There are literally 10 other U-Haul vendors in Oakley, and my advice is to go with one of them if you need to be able to pick up a truck on a specific date/time. 5/4/21 Update: I see the Manager replied, so I'm updating this to point out the perfect example of them not knowing what's going on. I'm very unhappy with the service I've received from Oakley Self Storage. At first things were fine, they signed me up and I moved my things into their storage very easily. However...in month two they charged me full-rate when it should've been 50% for the first two months. I called and spoke to Sienna (sp?) who told me she would have the manager Kim get in touch with me the next business day. I have used Uhaul in Oakley & Brentwood Ca several times to help my adult children move and it has always been pleasant and affordable with the exception of the truck rental on May 15, 2019 from 4700 Main St Oakley ca. First of the estimate was $164 to drive from Oakley to Bethel island when the other local estimates were always under $100. I asked the girl why she put down 100 miles for the move which is 7 miles each way and she said that was the policy for the credit card hold. When we got our storage here it was great i was concerned with it being on the 3rd floor but theyassured me our unit was clise to the elevator. And then the elevator breaks down and that was about 2 months ago and is dtill broke down today. Im not sure whats really going on there but since they broke down they have continually told us the samr bullsh.t story that the part would be there on a couple of days. Office staff was very confused, and unfriendly. Prior to moving out of my storage unit - I had called looking for insight on renting a U-Haul. The office staff was very abrupt when answering the phone, and stated some upsurd policy - That'd I'd have to contact them the day of needing the U-Haul. Which completely makes no sense, for anyone like myself that likes to plan ahead. As well I was charged two months, during my first invoice. I was completely unaware of this. For those renting a Uhaul or dropping off Uhaul from this place do make sure that you have the employee walk out with you to check your vehicle in mileage and gas etc. Make sure the amount of fuel and mileage matches your contract before driving off and when you drop off make sure you have employee check the gas amount and mileage before you leave. I was charged 1.5 gallons of fuel (it's not much) but the fact that I stopped and made sure I put gas over the amount I had picked up the van before dropping it upsets me that th... read more
