We are very happy with them. I'm not sure about the activities, in the memory area, when I ask her what she did that day, she can't tell me what she's done. I know they take them outside, I've been there and seen that. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. They were so over the top eager to help us, they called me back within an hour. Jennifer is wonderful!! Very nice facility. Met many staff people and some residents. Liked the independent apts better then the assisted living. Toilets were low which is a problem. Very close to Drs and hospitals. Nice area of Savannah plus close to shopping. Am considering this one.
My parents moved into Habersham House about 2 1/2 weeks ago. The first night I asked them to just go for dinner since it was my anniversary.I was planning on letting them return to my house until the next day since they seemed reluctant at first. We had moved their basic furniture in and we were waiting for the hospital bed to arrive. The staff at Habersham House made it happen that day. The bed arrived and was put together during dinner. Wonderful place and wonderful, caring staff. It is assisted living and Mama is not exactly ready for this level yet. Jennifer was super smart and a problem solver.
Of the places I have visited, this would be my preferred. Dining arrangements great. Residences seemed happy. Well taken care of. Many activities available.
Extremely warm environment. Very personable management staff. Units are a little smaller than expected but nice. Month to month rental is a plus. He really liked this facility. Very strong posibility according to him.
The facility is facing problems. It is in turmoil and I sincerely hope it can be resolved for the benefit of the residents. There were numerous occasions when my husband's call button received no response, particularly at night. I was there and observed this myself. The conditions were absolutely filthy at times and I cleaned his apartment myself often. There are some excellent aides employed there but they are overworked and struggling. The staff and local management were very friendly and my Dad liked them. Unfortunately for some reason it's extremely difficult to get things straightened out when you have any issues. My Dads emergency pendant didn't work and it took over a week to get one that worked. He had a fall and could not get anyone so he called me on my phone and I had to call the front desk to get someone to help him. My Dad was not offered any special diet or any choice of food. I provide an outside worker for [name removed]daily care. I pay someone to come in from 9 to 6 each day, seven days a week. So I am not sure about the quality of care. Although I don't have any complaints. My largest complaint would be the food. They only have one option for lunch and dinner. And the times I have been there it is definitely not very appetizing. I think they have a lot to do to improve their food service. I do believe it is a good value for the money, however, I would pay more to get a better food service.
