My mother was a resident in the memory care unit of the Oaks at Hampton for the last 2+ years until her recent passing. The care and attention she received during her time at the Oaks was beyond my expectations. The staff was attentive and caring to my mom, and as best as I could determine, equally caring and attentive to the needs of all of the residents. Having been a caregiver for almost 20 years and working in other facilities this is hands down the best experience yet. I'm on the other side right now assisting friends with transitioning their loved one from home to the facility. Being able to see this from both sides has been refreshing. Everyone from the Executive director to the caregivers, Physical therapist, nurses, kitchen workers, maintenance, volunteers and so many others have been wonderful. All working together as a team. Facility Needs modernized and Care Takers need better supervision in memory care where they tend to congregate together more than concentrating on their residents.
The staff was always available to assist the residents no matter what was needed. Also, I was impressed by the ability of the staff to know all the residents first names almost from the beginning of their residence

Working in the industry gave me lots of expectations for my grandparents. The staff cared about them as if they were their own. My grandparents have since moved home after their long respite stay, as that was the end goal. The staff is still checking and asking how "pa and gram" are doing and even my grandparents ask how the staff is that has taken care of them.

The staff and Caregivers at the Oaks at Hampton makes this place special. They treat your loved one like family and all family members too. We are so grateful to everyone there for taking care of our mother during our family’s most difficult time. Our mother has a safe and loving home with full time care and love. We so appreciate everyone over there for the AMAZING work they do. There really is angels walking amongst us.
