I didn't have to pay tax on the original value of one property. There was no reduction on my primary residence. I paid my 50% fee for the reduction on the first property, then found that there others with better offers. When I reported my input on the previous survey, I was contacted about it. I asked for a reduction in the future. I was told that I could not get what I was asking for, because it was reserved for the "over 65 exception". I have asked to have this explained, but not yet received a reply. So, still wait... read more
