This morning I took my Chihuahua in for a routine visit, vaccinations.. with COVID protocol, I wasn’t allowed in with her, I had to wait in my car. About 10 minutes after handing over my dog to them, I get a phone call from the vet stating that while he was getting my dog out of her cage, her toenail got ‘caught’ in the blanket I had in her cage and somehow ripped her whole toenail off- and now there’s blood. First, my family and I have been going here for almost 20 years. The past few years the customer service has gone down hill. The wait times are horrible(pre covid) but I dealt with that because the vets are good. I just called to get my dog in who is having troubles holding her bladder. The person who answered told me because we missed our yearly check up(we missed it because their covid precautions didn't work for our dogs) that we will have to wait until we can get a yearly check up and suggested that we find a new vet. If you truly love and care for your pets I would NEVER recommend this place. We brought our husky in when we found a lump on her leg, the vet discovered it was a tumor and obviously need to remove it. Scheduled surgery she got it removed and then when it was over we were never explained the after care for her wound. Just give her this medicine and do not get it wet whatsoever. Followed the little instructions given to us which resulted in her stitches and leg becoming EXTREMELY infected. We brought her back in, the only wi... read more
***UPDATE 09/08/17*** -- My wife called within the last few days to give OVC another chance and attempt to move forward with the sedation. However, the experience has drastically gone downhill solely because of my previous review (below). They have printed the review (from Google) and placed it in the file for our animal and have now BLACKLISTED us from any service at the clinic. Terrible place. They are too busy. They have taken on more patients then they can handle. They are over worked, over stressed and rude. You're appointments are rushed regardless of making an appointment or being a walk in. They mis-diagnose. You have to end up going back multiple times for the same issues. They do not take ownership of their mistakes or miscommunications. The owners responses to many people's poor reviews are condescending and place blame back on the patients. This was the worst vet experience I have ever had!! I'm so frustrated I really just want a refund. What should have only taken 1 day I'm still waiting to actually here from the vet and we're on day 4. Look at the number of people in the picture. There are at least twice this many waiting in lobby and the clinic is very small. They've completely outgrown their facility and the wait times are ridiculous. There is also no separation between the dogs and the cats, so you may be surrounded by barking dogs while you're waiting with your nervous cat. So...why did I give it three stars instead of one?
