I am moving into a house that has not had any pest control in over 2 years, so we needed to set up an account and have a tech come out to go over everything with us. I have used orkin (through my landlord) at my previous house and was very happy with the results, which is why I wanted them for our new home. After my initial negative review, I contacted Orkin at their request. Brett, the manager, personally spoke with me and apologized for the experience that we had with the pest control situation the first time around. Today, he came to our house in Reidsville to access the situation. He is going to exterminate the bug problem gratis. In my experience, many companies just don't do this anymore. I Just want to say that I am very grateful for Matthew N. He goes above and beyond his job! I've recently switched to Orkin from a different pest service.. I have to say, I'm very pleased. Matt is Very polite, communication is spot on and he makes sure that we are taken care of before he leaves. I would recommend him and this company to anyone. They where a great company when they were in Winston and since reporting to Greensboro they are a disaster. It's akways top down managment and their turnover is unblievable, a new guy every time someone comes out. And, they are poorly trained and it only took the last dude 19 minutes to do the in and outside of our 4200sf place. And now the office folks that I talked with could care less about the cutomers concerns! 99% of the time I write 5 star reviews, but not this group! I signed a contract with Orkin. They did not come more than they came. The worst service and the worst people to work with. They say they are coming and they don't. There has been a different person every time who did not know what they were doing. I would rather not have pest control then have this company. I had Orkin come treat my home inside and out for ants 4 times. I have left messages several times but they don't call me back to do a repeat service.
Terrible service. I just cancelled my plan due to constant failures. The treatments for spiders didn't work, and this location sends its calls to an empty mailbox that's never answered. Simply the worst example of corporate failure.
There are many pest control companies out there. DO NOT choose Orkin. This is a fraudulent business. They will rip you off . Called them on the phone to cancel service, They claim we never did and continued service and billing . Do NOT allow them to access your credit card . they will keep billing you even after requesting to cancel service.This is a fraudulent practice. BEWARE. Contract some other company. Do not be fooled by their slick commercials . Hire some small local best control company. Orkin is a giant rip off.
Just canceled my service with Orkin after months of technicians failing to show up when scheduled. One time they put someone down to come out who wasn't working that day, another time the technician said they had a completely different time than what we were told. The last straw came when this happened for a third time. After complaining, I was told the service manager would be out at 8 am the next day, but he was 45 minutes late.
