This review is for Angel. Orkin was hired to handle the rat infestation at Morningstar storage. The storage has let this issue continue for over 6 months. Angel pulled up to the storage right after I arrived. He answered every question I had and I had a lot. I am moving my units to new ones so I can go sort through all of my belongings to assess the damage. He checked my units and explained how the rodents were traveling from unit to unit. I would like to give this company five stars. Over the years, being in the restaurant business, I hired other companies and they never solved the problems until I called Orkin. They really listended carefully to what my problem was and they took care of it. I highly recommend this company to anyone that has a real problem with pest control. The technician was excellent. My initial service from Orkin was great! I have known about Orkin forever but never used them. The person who signed me up (came to my door) was a super nice guy and I asked him a million questions. He answered them all without even a hesitation. My service was scheduled for the next day and two technicians arrived right on time. I wanted to make mention of an event that occurred today. My wife was stranded with a tire blow out. As she was trying to figure out the jack, and after many drivers passed her by, one of your employees on his lunch break stopped and helped her change her tire. When we moved to San Antonio, we had no idea we were going to encounter so many bugs and fleas!!! Our 10 year old dog had never had fleas. Poor thing! We finally got rid of them after hiring Orkin. The guys who have come to our house have been very nice and helpful. I appreciate how easy is to make an appointment or reschedule by email or on the phone. We hired a service for them to come every 2 months and when we moved to a new house, there was no problem transferring the service to our new address.
DON'T USE ORKIN!!! They get you into a contract without clearly explaining the bill. They tell you can cancel the bill at anytime no additional cost, but then charge you for two months of service to stop the service. Shady company with a bunch of idiots working for them.
If I could give less than a 1 star review, I would. We had "exclusion" services done on our house to get rid of rats and were entirely disappointed. Despite them supposedly being "experts," we had to repeatedly point to areas where any pest could get into our house and ask if that hole would need to be filled. We were met with "maybes" and "oh, good catch!" Not the response we would want to receive from the people we were paying money to handle this for us. Quoted us $14,000 claiming we had terminites. Got a second opinion from ABC and they said they were ants. It ended up being ants.
Too expensive and they never arrive in the timeframe texted. Challenging to get in touch with the local office and they over billed me.
