As a long time customer I called last week to schedule a termite inspection. The appointment was for today between 8-10. Last night a received the reminder text and that one said between 7-12. By 11:45 I hadn’t not heard from anyone so I called the 800 number. I was told that the technician came by around 10:15. I have two dogs who go crazy when the door bell rings. Orkin is too big to be personal in it’s appointment system and has office personnel who don’t listen to customer’s requests for rescheduling. They don’t ask their customers when it would be convenient to come to the house... they just schedule you for the quarterly treatment and leave it to you to take it or lump it and reschedule. My technician was great! But The call center grossly misrepresented the cost. I said I didn’t want a contract and she said no problem. It would be $210 for the first visit then $55 for every visit after that and NO contract and Orkin would come out at no cost in between services. They come to my door WITH a contract pricing is nothing like the call center girl said. I went ahead and did the service and signed the contract cuz I needed it with the ant problem I have. Unfortunately after many years we are canceling our service. Service has been substandard and spoke with customer service 2 different times and requested different tech, same tech was sent again. Major communication breakdown after assurances from manager that same tech would not be out. Very disappointed in how everything was handled.
PET PARENTS BEWARE!!! Someone from the company came to spray and I over heard him saying “ I don’t want to spray in the house if you have kids” which caused concern to me because my dog is sensitive and I rather he not get sick or have a rash. I ask the man what he was going to spray, he wouldn’t tell me. I asked him for his name, he wouldn’t tell me.
