It was lovely; the food was delicious, the wait staff attentive and knowledgeable, but not intrusive and the setting was wonderful.
Our waiter, Nino, provided a fabulous dining experience. The seafood pasta was excellent, as was the lobster ravioli.
Arrived early, and were seated right away. Sat outside and watched ComicCon characters. Food was excellent and service very good. A bit of a tight squeeze as the tables were close together. Overall, a great dining experience.
This was a good stop during Comic Con when everything was full. This Italians been in the Gaslamp for a while so we thought it was a safe bet for our guests. We had a meal that was not life changing but the patio was lovely and the service friendly so the food was less important. My dish was good, some sort of chicken with eggplant. We had a wonderful evening at Panevino! Our waiter "SUPERMAN" was fantastic!! The food was delicious. "Superman" recommend the lobster ravioli. It did not disappoint!
The service was impeccable. The antipasto and the wines were delicious. The antipasto was enough for a meal and reminded us of the delicious meats and cheeses we had in Italy. My gluten free pasta was very al dente and the boar rage while it enriched the sauce was like a chopped up version of little bits. It was just ok. My husband's saltimbocca was disappointing. Food was delicious - missed five stars because the pappardelle ragu was lacking the fat to really bring the dish home. A simple dollop of cheese or more hearty flavors on the meat or mushrooms would have helped here. The basil pesto ravioli were to die for as well as the baked eggplant appetizer. 100% will return.
Great food!!
So delicious! We went at the beginning of our vacation and went back on our last night - it was so good!
