Great food and excellent service. Would recommend to anyone looking for delicious Italian food.
Anna Lisa is the best server. Contrary to another server who said they cannot do the penne al chingiale sub risotto (rice instead of penne pasta), she said they could and it was great. A great server makes a difference and Anna Lisa is always great. Panevino isn't the same without her, but I liked my experience this time better than the last time I went.

Excellent pizza and spaghetti vongole. A fabulous restaurant serving authentic no frills Italian food. I’d go back whenever I’m here.
WE ate there last year and thought their staffing needed to be beefed up. Last year there was hardly any one in the restaurant and still service was quite slow. Decided to give it another chance and was very pleased overall. The food, service and atmosphere were perfect. The final bill was higher than I expected but it seems like everything is more expensive these days. Not the restaurant's fault.
It is a great San Diego spot for an excellent casual Italian dinner.
The food at this restaurant used to be really great. Our meal was just lackluster. The gnocchi fell apart on the fork. The fish special was over cooked.
