Recommended by a friend, this lovely place exceeded my expectations. I took my mother out for a special occasion and it was indeed special. Loved the Portobella appetizer. The ricotta stuffed gnocchi melts in your mouth and the Ossobuco is one of the best I've ever had. Can't wait to go back next time I'm in San Diego.
The food was absolutely delicious and the service, despite being very busy for a Tuesday night during a COVID staffing shortage, was outstanding. This place is the real deal…all the staff speaking Italian, all the pastas house made. The salads come out ice cold and the food piping hot! Maria was terrific and hard working. Wonderful Old Fashioned to start followed by an amazing beat salad. Both my wife and I had some of the best Italian food in quite some time. I had Chilean sea bass special with lobster mash potatoes and a jumbo shrimp on top. Best ever! Actual big lobster pieces in the potatoes. Chicken parmigiana for my wife and she loved it! We were extremely impressed for a Monday night meal.
The food was incredible and so was our server Maria! I got back to the hotel after dinner and told anyone that would listen about it!
Impossible to find no signs with the name of the restaurant no parking street was closed hard to enjoy when so stressed
