Get directionsJust finished detox and the nurses are amazing here. My appetite still isn't the best but it's getting there. Glad to be here.
I went from hopeless to hopeful and from feeling like the worst human being on the planet to realizing I’m a good human being. Today I try to stay in the here and now which is really hard sometimes but I’m getting better at it. My therapist was Deja and she’s awesome at listening and giving good directions which I really need on a daily basis. I love how they have cabin captains and being one helped me be of service to my peers here. All the groups are off the charts and there’s so much knowledge at this place on how to stay... read more
Didn’t want to be here and didn’t think I had a serious problem with alcohol until I started paying attention to the instructions here especially those in recovery. Not only did I have a problem but I had a serious problem with alcohol to the point it was probably going to kill me within a year. I recommend coming here because everyone is trained and willing to help. We have AA meeting every other day that’s run by us the patients and its helpful because of the AA Big Book. Glad to be sober and alive in more ways than one. M... read more
All positive feedback from me with no negativity because this place saved my life and helped me to start being able to mend my family relationships which was abysmal before I got to Oxford treatment center. As I learned to listen and now listen to learn my heart is open to new ideas about sobriety and how valuable sobriety is to me and my family. Kesha is my therapist and she’s a true professional in every sense of the term. She never gets upset with any patient and has the biggest heart at this place. Mr Barry is great the ... read more
I was so delusional when I arrived here due to all the alcohol and drugs I was taking and wanted to leave 2 days in but 3 staff members showed me compassion like I've never experienced before, Ms Kate the counselor, Ms Laura the nurse, and Mr Barry are my angels. I wanted out of detox because I'm used to being on the go and on the outside but I now see the importance of letting the nurses and doctors do their job so I could detox medically. All of the detox nurses, doctors and TAs cared about me more than I cared about me an... read more
As I write this I'm feeling all kinds of ways because I've gained so much clarity being at Etta. Kaitlin my therapist was so generous of her time with me and taught me so much about being patient and trusting the treatment process. Mr Hank has the best lectures on the hijacked brain and Mr Barry brings a wealth of recovery experience to the table. All of my peers helped my recovery so much and for that I'm forever grateful. The meals were always hot and good and my room was cleaned daily. Thanks to the nurses who have to end... read more
At first I didn’t take things seriously but as I settled in and started to take the cotton out of my ears and put it in my mouth I started to realize just how much my addiction harmed me, my family and society. Today I’m grateful to be clean and I’m moving in the right direction. Oxford is an amazing facility and the entire staff care about all of us patients. I learned to keep an attitude of gratitude and to find at least one thing to be grateful for each passing day. Mr Barry told me that a grateful addict will never use a... read more
I learned that every day sober is a successful day and I’ve found that to be true and to let this live in my heart. My therapist Victoria was a blessing in disguise and I consider her my Angel in sobriety. Everyone here has been amazing and so awesome from the cleaning staff, kitchen staff, all nurses, doctors and therapists but a big THANK YOU to the TAs for always being there for me and all my amazing peers. I most definitely recommend this facility for anyone suffering from addiction and who wants relief.
I have a whole new outlook on addiction now thanks to Oxford treatment center and the staff here. I was in so much denial about my addiction but now I definitely know I’m an addict and need continued daily work on myself so I can recover.
