I moved my mother to Pacifica one month ago. She is 100 years old with psychotic dementia. It was difficult to find a god fit for her that we could also afford. Pacifica if very affordable and provides a wide range of memory and dementia care. I am probably very hard to please as I spent many years working in this business/industry and I am very devoted to my mother. There was an elevator involved and my friend doesn't' like those. It was very nice but the room he would have has would have been too far from the dining room for him.
I chose Pacifica Senior Living because I had been there before and talked to Stacy and it was also referred by A Place For Mom. They are also located very close to my house. The staff has been so accommodating, anytime I ask for anything they are on it. I've made some new friends with some of the residents. The first day I took my mom to check out Pacifica I recognized one of the residents as my former Brownie Leaders which I thought felt like good karma for us. Very, Very nice place. Director was very kind and most informative & helpful. However, it is not the place for my mom. Too much activity and not allowed to stay in her room. Meals in-room discouraged.
