Pacifica has genuinely caring caregivers who give their wards respect - treating them as people with dignity. They have a constant schedule of activities to keep their residents busy all day doing arts, crafts, singing, walking, gardening, physical games like batting balloons with those huge swimming pool "noodles", armchair travelling to different places. I chose Pacifica as the best one in the area. It had the attitude I was looking for. It was alive, fresh looking, bright, cheerful, full of music and activities. The tenants were engaged in various actitivites throughout the day. The staff was attentive, respectful, patient, caring. The main thing is that they kept the tenants busy so they weren't sitting around bored. They had games, bean bag toss, balloon bouncing, arts, crafts, music, and all with someone to help cue them. Lots of cueing, which many need.

Things seem to be going great at this point. They have been a pretty good facility. Every facility has things that they can work on, but up to this point I would say that they have been pretty darn good.

We just took our mom for her second respite stay. The first stay was so positive we were glad we could bring her back when we took our second trip. Our mom has dementia and was a little apprehensive when we first got there. Then the staff started coming up to her and calling her by her name and saying how happy they were to see her again. They immediately integrated her with the group. She perked up and started smiling and was ok with us leaving her. I think it’s a wonderful community. One bright and cheery even in the memory care, a lot of the places we looked at were not as bright in the memory, but my loved has a bright and cheerful. My dad thinks it’s really good quality food. The staff is very, very nice. It’s the nicest and the best. There are always going to be issues and we are finding some issues, but nothing that is threating my mother’s care. There’s a lot of staff changing. My mom’s care is very good. I think people find this community very cheerful.

I don't have any experience with other places but I think it's a really good value. The care has been good. I think that there were some hiccoughs, understandably. When my mom first got there, there was some confusion but that all taken care of quickly. There's lots of activities and they are just right for my mom. I am very pleased with their level of activities and just with how my mom has really done well there so I would recommended that place to anyone. My parents were there and that was good for a period of time and then when my father's dementia got worse. The problem was not so much the caregiving but the difficulty of the situation. The cleanliness was very good. There were activities available and dementia ones. My father didn't participate but they brought them to musical events with in the larger community. They had partitioned off the dementia care but they would try to bring them in for any activities in the community. They were very inclusive that way.

I looked at this place but it was too far from home. I was close but not close enough to where I could run up on the way back from home and also run errands and things. I seemed like a very nice place. It was good but it's a matter of what you're looking for and I needed something closer.

I liked Almavia. It was a nice place. Cheerfull color in the halls etc.
