The staff is incredible and helpful in the transition of mom into the facility. We were all having a tough time. But now are so glad she is getting the 24/7 care that she deserves. The director of Memory Care, [name removed] has been an absolute angel not only to us, but I believe everyone there. She's great at helping mom out of her comfort zone. She is now doing things that she would otherwise not be doing. We're happy for her and proud of her. So grateful to Paintbrush for giving us our lives back.

Make sure if they have adequate amount of staffing, check their menu/food given to elderly, prepped appropriately, types of food given to avoid choking hazards. For memory care individuals, meats should be cut up, hot dogs, avoid grapes or slice, given canned fruits in place of oranges, any types which cause choking hazards, as elderly pts swallowing is diminished or they have dental issues with difficulty chewing.

I believe they are doing an excellent service. They have a new person in charge of memory care. The service was very good before, this new person is doing an excellent job.

The whole Staff at Paintbrush Assisted Living and Memory Care in Fresno, Ca has given excellent care to my mom, [name removed]. They treat her well and we are so appreciative of the care they show to her.
The woman who is over their Memory Care team is incredible. [name removed] was instrumental in us selecting Paintbrush because of her dedication and commitment to her patients and families. Love her!

I would recommend it. This is a locked memory unit. Some of the things that have been promised have not been yet and we are trying to working through those now. The staff were supposed to be helping my loved one get out of bed. They told my sister that if my mother didn't want to get up, then she wouldn't get her up. She was in bed after 2pm. She had not had her medications as well. They provide activities for the memory care residents like painting, coloring, amongst other things. They go on field trips. The staff email reg... read more
The facility has very good ratings, we have had very few problems or complaints. The memory care portion is completely separate from the assisted living side. We went with Paintbrush because my sister knows another family that has her mother in the memory care unit as well. I have eaten here twice and love it, the food is great and they are higher end meals, I would compare them to nice restaurants. I toured this property a while back; but it came between Paintbrush and another community. Overall it boiled down to size and availability.
I toured Paintbrush Assisted Living and I felt good about the facility. The cost here was comparable to others that we looked into.
