It was really nice but it didn't have all the different types of care. I wanted that so we could stay together and not have to start looking for a new place if we need more care later on.

They have great activities but since my mom has short term memory issues so she doesn't get to take advantage some of them. I arrive and I see her sitting in the assisted living living room just sitting here becuse she doesn't know that there is something going on. I'm sure they're just not staffed well enough to get the people that don't know any better over to the activities. I was under the impression that they did that so that was the one disappointment. You can reseve a dining room or cafe for your family events which ... read more

Locked Assisted Living unit. No dogs allowed. Beautiful facility. He is too independent to be on a locked unit.

She really liked this place. We plan to go back to eat and socialize to see if she connects here.

This is all based on my mom's opinion as she has complained a lot about the food and turn over of administration and employees. They currently don't have a full time nurse, so there's been issues with medicine, etc. They also have had problems with the elevators for over a year now, so it's an ongoing problem. I don't want to score low as I don't have any comparison, yet feel there are problems in all of these type of AL facilities as unfortunately, it's the sign of the times.

Since my mom moved last [date removed], things have gone downhill quickly. It trickles from the top, with poor management. Many staff have quit, which of course impacts the care of the residents. The elevators are continuously breaking down and residents often have to eat in their rooms, and/or have gotten stuck downstairs and had to call the fire department to help them get back to their rooms. The worst complaint from my mom is the food. It is cooked over in independent living and brought over. It is often cold, not cooked... read more

Did not follow through with things that were promised 3 years ago with regard to providing an ambassador to help mom make the transition from her home. Recently she was moved to assisted living and her care plan was not being followed with regard to showers, laundry, and timely medication dispensing. After two months in assisted she was very quickly moved to memory care and I am not sure that move needed to be made. The family had no say in that move and now she is fearful as she is in a setting with folks who are catatonic ... read more

I would not recommend this community to anyone. They don't offer special programming for people with dementia. It seems to be misleading. In addition, they had so much turnover in staff, in which no one could provide the care that my loved one needed.

Business response:

Hello, we are sorry with your experience with our community. Our programming is daily and specific to our Valeo residents. We do offer 1:1 activities as well as custom programming for residents. Please give me a call at your earliest convenience at (636) 625-2900.
