It took several months to get in for even an initial consult. To have any testing to confirm an PCN allergy is 9-12 months out, which is not a big deal to me because I am not overly concerned since we have other medication options for my son. However, I can imagine for someone that is needing answers the appointment wait times are extremely frustrating. Went to have testing for a meat allergy (alpha-gal), instead I get run through the entire panel of testing, I guess for financial reasons, show a reaction to meat and told no blood test required. It will be fine to eat meat. An alpha gal test requires blood test, for dome reason they refused and proceeded to tell me to eat beef. I will not do so since the last time I broke out in hives.
