The process was very easy and quick.

3 things made my refinance experience 'just OK.' 1.) The lawyer/notary(?) arrived an hour late. 2.) When reviewing closing instructions with Gilbert Herrera, I asked if my husband could be the witness since his name is not on the mortgage (but is on the deed). Gilbert told me that my husband could witness. At closing, I learned that my husband couldn't witness. I had find a neighbor to do it. 3.) 1 doc was not presented at closing. Title company had to me sign it and FedEx it to them overnight.
The overall PennyMac process was pretty streamlined. However, the notary at closing was a little unprofessional.
Abigail had done a wonderful job with getting my loan application originated. She was quick, professional, and overall very pleasant. I received the best rate with low cost, and was able to close within 30 days. The process was easy and simple. I would recommend PennyMac to everyone who has estate financing needs.

Good experience, no issues that weren't resolved quickly
Communication was not as we expected. We were under the impression that we were going to be dealing with one specific person. Several times we got emails from other people that were on our "Team" A few times we sent emails that never got answered. At closing time we were told to confirm our day and time. Sent a reply email. Never in the email did it say we needed to call and specifically talk to a team member. As a result, our closing was 3 days later that we were told.
Loan Officer was only available in the initial stage. After I agreed to do the loan I never had anymore communication with him. Tried several times to get in touch with him when the process was taking too long, but, could not get in touch with him. Loan Processor did not expedite anything. All she did was note down what the status of the loan was. Not pro-active in expediting documents needed from other entities. A simple refi, with no documents required, yet, it took two months for the process
