I would not recommend pet doctors for anything to do with their pet insurance under whatever name they are currently using for this. Under their advice I took out best for pet insurance. I disclosed I had a Persian, knew and understood that teeth and gums were not covered as Persians are predisposed to incidences around gums and teeth. I understood and accepted this. My bird Charlie was bitten by a neighbour's cat on Sunday a few weeks back, we rushed him to the Pet Doctors, we were told the bird needed admission, cost of admission plus treatment would be between 250-350 dollars in the first 24 hours, we paid 155 dollars deposit in advance, the doctor also told us the survival rate would be around 70 %, a few hours later I received phone call from him and I was told the survival rate down to 40%.
