This friendly neighborhood hangout feels like it's been around for much longer than it has. Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Whatever the reason, you will feel comfortable and welcome here. The menu features large portions of all-American mains with Southwestern twists. Pizzas and light bites perfectly complement a glass of wine, beer or cocktail from the bar.

Love their lunch specials. Great salads and ribs, too. Very welcoming. Each time we go I enjoy it more.
Neighborhood bistro conveniently located just off the AZ 51. I stop here when on my way to events in downtown PHX. Menu is simple, but all items are delicious.
Phoenix City Grille is an interesting place situated in an unassuming strip mall. The décor plays up the unique room size with special photographic art. My husband has his usual 'default' burger but I tried the daily seafood special described as "cobia sea bass". The seafood was great and the special was interesting and presented as described. My only quibble is that cobia is not sea bass. Seems like a clear misrepresentation of the fish species to get people to try something new. We didn't try the happy hour menu but it loo... read more
I brought my granddaughter, her husband and my 1 and 3 year old great grandchildren. I requested a table on the patio so we would not disturb other diners . The menu has something delicious for everyone. The dinner was a great success.
The staff accommodated our request upon arrival for an outside table even though our reservation was for inside. Our server was excellent. My 11-year-old nephew wanted to watch a hockey game inside and the bar staff was incredibly friendly and found a spot for him to watch the game and enjoy a root beer. The food was amazing - we loved everything we ordered. They also have a great wine list. I'll definitely return when I'm back in town.
We have been getting together with old friends for a number of years at the Phoenix City Grille. It is conveniently located; the food is great; and the atmosphere conducive to good conversation. We always enjoy our lunches, especially the catch of the day, the salads, and the burgers. Even though there are many diners, the noise level is very low, and we can have a good reunion.
My family and I visited this restaurant for the first time, for Friday dinner. All the food was delicious and well portioned. We plan to visit regularly.
It was a wonderful experience, as usual. I have never been disappointed with my experience at this restaurant and I've been many times over the years.
We tried three appetizers, one entree, and a dessert. Everything we ate was excellent and the service was awesome. Will definitely return.
