Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. The food is ALWAYS good; the service is ALWAYS friendly and efficient; it's our neighborhood go-to spot and we've loved it since it opened. Yes, we're OLD.
We had two bowls of split pea soup. Husband had the cedar plan salmon with carrots and fingerlings. Said the veggies were fabulous. I had the Ramona Farms Super Food - Tepary beans, Sonoran wheat berries, arugula, dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, chickpeas, organic winter squash and panela cheese with RANCH. Delicious and satisfying salad. Sorry - no dessert. Don’t care for ANY of their dessert choices. Downfall: staff NOT checking us in with Open Table. 😮
A quiet dinner for two to celebrate our 62nd wedding anniversary the day after Christmas at our longtime favorite’neighborhood’ restaurant. Sasha was very cheerful and welcoming, helpful, prompt, and efficient; and the food was, as always, delicious. My wife raves about the salmon skewer on arugula, and I loved the romaine salad and the Baja shrimp. Portions are generous; the buttermilk pie is a favorite of ours, but we had eaten too much to order it—somehow, a slice appeared in our take-home bag. We’ll be back!

Phoenix City Grill never disappoints with their food or service! They offer areas for large gatherings and have great spaces for anyone needing handicapped access. The food was amazing! If you want delicious clam chowder, this is the place to go! They also have tender steak and fish options and amazing vegetarian options! The staff is friendly and very accommodating with great customer service.
