Incredibly fast, super efficient. Fair rates. We worked with Steve Manolis and we couldn't be happier with the process. Our first mortgage (in CA) was through a credit union I'd been a member of for over a decade and they didn't even come close to the level of service that Steve and his team at Platinum provided for our home loan in IL.
Steve was great at answering any and all questions we had and even went out of his way to make recommendations for restaurants and places to check out (my wife and I just moved to IL). Also, he's really good at what he does - worked with us every step of the way and ensured the loan was ready to go three weeks before our scheduled closing date.

I was referred to Andrew Mikkila by a friend regarding refinancing my condo. I was told how good Andy is at answering questions, timeliness of follow-ups, and education of the process. When my wife and I chose to see if we could refinance our condo, after years of not being able to, due to poor housing prices, I knew Andy would be the person to help.
Andy was excellent in guiding us through the process. He was able to look at the condo's sold in our neighborhood and predict that we would be approved for a refinance. Once that was settled, he was able to help us with all the documents and questions we had. Andy's ability to reply to my emails almost immediately made me very happy because I was then able to get him everything he needed to make sure the refinance happened in a timely manner.
Thanks to Andy's help we were able to cut our monthly mortgage payment by 500$. After such a great experience with Andy and Platinum Home Mortgage I've referred him to my neighbors. He was then able to help them save a great deal on their mortgage as well.

Have dealt with mortgages before and know the hassle it can be. Working with Steve Carlsen at Platinum was a breath of fresh air. He was fast and efficient. Made the whole process easy.

We have done a few loans with Steve Carlsen and he is the best! Honest and up front and goes to great lengths to make our loans happen. I always know he will get it done and it's such a pleasure to work with him.
