My child had a simple stye and the doctor prescribed an antibiotic drop with steroid! I had to call back to tell the doctor to change it to just antibiotics and she did. My child is recovering well on it. But it scares me that she would prescribe such steroid medicine to the eye when it can be easily treated with just antibiotics. Steroids are something to be considered cautiously for the eyes especially because personally I’ve had them prescribed to me in the past and now I have glaucoma.
