I had a Polaris 280 for many years, finally decided to upgrade because I had replaced the parts so many times and it just wasnt doing it! Researched the Robotics out there and decided on this one! Glad that I made the purchase, it works well and cleans the pool better than I ever thought. Easy to operate and I havent even gotten into many of the settings! Also easy to clean the filter. I may purchase the "fine" dirt filter but the original works very well!
Always loved the ease of use.
I bought this robot because it was taking me on average 3 hours to vacuum my pool. Now I simply set it up, set it and forget it. The things that mattered to me, were the caddy, the tangle free cord, the 4 wheel drive (no drive bands to go under a track roller) and the lift feature. I've only ever owned a Polaris robot so I don't know how other machines work on exiting the pool but this one is a cinch! push the button follow it to the wall it's driving toward and lift it out when it gets to the surface. This is our third Polaris cleaner, and second of this model. Works well, the Lift feature is great, we use it daily. (Lots of trees around)
