The Polaris ALPHA iQ is much better than our old Polaris pool vacuum. With 4-wheel drive, the ALPHA iQ never gets stuck on steps, which saves us from having to periodically restart the vacuum to ensure the entire pool floor is cleaned. The control panel provides desired functionality and is intuitive. I have only two complaints. First, the stand for the vacuum is manufactured from cheap, light-weight materials. Hi James, Thanks for sharing your valuable feedback! Here are some suggestions to improve the cord tangling issue: 1) Remove the cleaner from the pool and lay the cable across the pool deck to relieve coiled memory. 2) Allow the cleaner cable to enter the pool at the center of the length of the pool 3) Only use enough cable to reach the farthest point from the cable entry location 4) Gently toss the necessary cable across the pool water for even distribution instead of dropping the cable in a lump in one spot. Smooth operation. Picks up large leaves. Easy to clean.
Very effective and easy to use!
The Alpha was easy to set up and operate. I like the different modes based on the pools condition. I also like that I can run it anytime without the pool filter running. The filter is easy to remove and clean and captures even finer sand.
The Polaris IQ has been great and we are thoroughly pleased with its performance.
So easy to run.Does a great job and walks up the wall of the pool when it’s done.
It works well. I’ve had previous models and this one performs at least as well and maybe a little better.

We replaced an old Polaris 9350 pool cleaner. The new one works much better, probably because it has AWD, where the 9350 was front-wheel-drive.
