It moves around the entire pool as our previous cleaner stayed in the deep end almost exclusively. Does a great cleaning job.

So far seems to be working very well. With an open outdoor pool there's a lot of debris that with the old Zodiac it often plugged the suction and moving mechanism. So far I have not experienced such an issue. Debris seems to flow readily to the collection basket.

Pool cleaner works great when it works. The problem is that it will occasionally just stop moving and the gears will appear to be locked up. I have to play around with it a bit to get it freed up and then it will work fine again for a while. My be returning it for something else because it cost too much to keep jamming up like it does.

We recommend removing the inlet adapter at the bottom of the cleaner to help larger debris pass through. The Polaris Atlas XT significantly outperforms Hayward’s competitive product I have used for 20 years. Pool is cleaner requiring much less brushing. Worth the upcharge.
