Our first Polaris lasted 30 years with occasional work done on it. We recently replaced it with this model, so far so good. It only takes a couple of hours to clean our pool and that's great since I'm constantly monitoring or electricity usage. We hope this one is as well made and durable as the last.

The cleaner works great but sometimes gets stuck in corners and has to be manually unstuck.

To prevent the cleaner from getting stuck, check the following: 1) Verify proper flow by counting the wheel revolutions per minute (RPMs). 2) Ensure the backup valve is cycling on and off about every three minutes. 3) Adjust the thrust jet to change the directional path of the cleaner. Retailer was great help. Still haven't received the rebate although submitted on time . Need extra float since reverser doesn't float high enough so sometimes the equipment ties itself in to a knot

Very easy to put the equipment in the pool. Lighter and less memory in the cords. Much more pliable. Vaccum is efficient.

It does a great job and is maintenance free, for now. We had another Polaris that lasted 35 years before I couldn’t fix it myself any more. I hope this one lasts as long.
