Best I've owned/280 Model and see NO Need to "Upgrade" I have the 280 Model. Best VAC/Sweeper I've owned. All poly/plastic, but on 3rd season with it and near zero physical signs of signs of wear except for replacing regular and silt bags as run in 22.5K gal. I/G pool 2 hrs per week over 3 years. ONLY problem I ever had was a pebble stuck in gear that took only seconds to remove. Buy this thing with confidence.

The automatic pool vac does a good job clearing debis from the bottom of the pool - stuff like leaves and sand if you get a fine mesh bag. They pretty much last for ever I'm told. But after 13 years, my first one got clogged up and because the screw holding the body of the device together was stripped, we could not get inside without breaking it to clear the clog. New and improved over previous models. Not sure about ... New and improved over previous models. Not sure about the zipper on the debris bag holding up as it is snagging frequently and has to be pulled apart with more force than it should.

Great cleaner!! This unit replaced a 10 year old Polaris. After getting kind of use to the older model leaving quite a bit of leaf and sand debris after several hours of operating - wow was I shocked at how efficiently the new unit works. It is night and day! We could not be happier! Out of the box and into the pool in 5 minutes...then a quick 5 minutes to shorten the hose a few feet and done. A good cleaner is invaluable. the best pool cleaner on the My first Polaris broke about 8 years ago and I replaced it with a Hayward, went back to this and wow what a difference, the best pool cleaner on the market
