I just got done with by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a psychiatrist. She started off by interrupting me, while trying to explain some mistakes I had made on the questionnaire, (my phone wasn’t working so it auto answered most of it). She abruptly told me that she doesn’t read any of that anyways and she has her own questions. She starts going off of her list and interrupts me during any elaboration I give and moves us along. Dr. Mathur needs to be more observant and ask relevant questions about the side effects of the medication she prescribes. She continued to prescribe strong doses of medications without counter balancing the side effects that had a disastrous effect on our daughter. It appears that she’s only interested in making money without actually caring for her patients.

I would not recommend this psychiatrist. She is not good at setting people at ease. I have been with her for 3 years now and am very anxious to not be her patient any longer. She gives the same routine advice time after time and is very impersonal with her patients. Please, please if you can, try a different psychiatrist.

Do not see Dr. Mathur!!! She is cold, uncaring and money motivated. She doesn't remember anything from one appointment to the next, I don't think she takes notes during the session as there is no follow up to any concerns I express. She wrote two different prescriptions for me and continues to ask me at every appointment if I had ever tried them. She told me to cut out caffeine to help my anxiety which I did and I still get told every session that I should cut our caffeine. Did she even write it down that I already did??? Sh... read more

Extremely impersonal and cold. Does not care about her patients and is concerned only with turning them out as quickly as possible ($$). I also found that, because she is so cold and forward, it was impossible to take her seriously. Which defeated my whole purpose of being there. She was my first psychiatrist so I did not know how awful she really was until I left her and found another. Night and day. Do NOT recommend at all.

I was a patient for 3 years of Dr. Mathur. She is cold, sterile, doesn't listen, doesn't show care or compassion, and tries to get you out of her office as fast as possible. She puts you down if you are 1 minute late...she lectures you. When a person is coming in for help, her demeanor and behavior is insult on injury. Please find someone who cares about you and where you are at.

She is very insensitive and rude. She makes abrupt choices and rushes patients in and out. If you are struggling with mental health, do not see her. She made my issues worse. Your health is not worth risking.

I never write reviews but I feel it’s important to warn others when their mental health is involved especially when the experience is terrible. Dr. Mathar is incredibly unprofessional and does not listen to her patients. I couldn’t wait to leave her office and I feel so much worse than I did before going to this appointment. I believe her approach to patient care is dangerous.
