I have used Prisma Urgent Care locations at least a dozen times in the past 10 years, but this was my first time visiting the Mauldin (S. Main Street) location. It did not disappoint. :) In fact it was among the best Urgent Care experiences yet — Alfredo Cortez Melenda, PA-C (treating provider at Prisma Health Urgent Care of Mauldin) is an highly competent and genuinely caring provider. This Prisma Health Urgent Care is very slow, and they communicate how long your wait is going to take if you're a walk-in and were the first one there, but they even open. I had to walk out before I received treatment for my issue because I had another appointment at 9:30 am. I arrived there at 7:30 am, and they didn't open until 8:00 am, and I waited another hour before I had to leave for my other appointment.

The visit was short and didn’t get the care I thought I would get. Found out you have to leave your credit card on file and was not happy about it. Overall I would not recommend this practice to my friends or family.

Very long wait time even though I was there at 8:00 a.m. with no one in the waiting room. Also, excessive wait time between providers. Exam room looked dirty with marks on the wall although it's a new facility. It appeared the socializing of the staff was more important than getting the patient in and out in a timely manner.

The website is not user-friendly. So, I was a walk-in, after waiting 2hrs with no more than 4 people before me, I waited.
