Dr. Paulen has a way of making my experience very easy and comfortable. I feel that she listens and acts upon my concerns. I am very pleased with my treatment and treatment plan at this point.
I have been a patient of Dr. Paulen for 15+ years, Always had excellent and efficient service. Staff is very friendly and if asked, explains all items in detail. When I had a dental issue, Dr. Paulen worked my into her schedule to resolve quickly. The location and hours are very convenient. The team makes you comfortable and relaxed during the procedures. I trully believe they are looking out for my best interest.
While Dr. Paulen's practice states that they "accept" several insurance carriers, they are in fact not "in network" not under contract with any of them. They are a fee for service provider, which means that they can and do charge the patient for the difference between what they charge and what the patient's insurance pays. I'm sure she is a fine dentist and comes highly recommended, but her practice needs to be up front about the fee for service piece.

This is a common issue for many dental and medical service providers. Depending upon your insurance coverage, you can seek treatment from both in-network or out-of-network providers. We never try to conceal that we are an out-of-network provider, and yes, we do accept all PPO plans. We deeply regret that this was not clear in this instance. Unfortunately, most insurance plans limit the "approved" procedures for in-network providers and therefore severely limit the care that can be provided.
