Cassette won't release--fun while the sample tape lasted Sort of embarrassing how many things are now labeled in my house. Feels like I have a new toy. A month in to my labeling jag and I can't get the sample cassette to release so I can insert a new one. I can't figure out how to contact the company so guess that was $40 wasted (plus the two cassette refills I bought)

The thing I hate about this product which leaves me unable to recommend it, is the wasted amount of space that is left blank either side of the label once it's printed. Brother has obviously designed the label maker this way so that consumers are forced to buy the printing tape more frequently. It's such a waste and I won't be buying another Brother product because of it.
Too Much Wasted Tape. Like others have said. It wastes lots of tape which bugs the Dickens out of me but doesn't justify spending another $40-$50 on a new labeler - not yet, anyway. Too bad I didn't start using it right away - it's beyond the return policy. Otherwise I would definitely return it just because of all the wasted tape. Other than that, it does make labels.
search for a label maker is over I have gone through so many label makers. we use this for our business and I found out about it from my distributor that uses it. look no more, this one is the one.
Scissors required for this machine. This machine is terrible. The internal settings make it where there is a 1.5 inch margin on the left side of the print out. This is an unneeded and unused margin that does not match the right side. Basically a huge waste of tape. This occurs with every label whether you want the margin or not. I called customer service and they said this was a built in "feature" that can't be changed. I understand why Brother created this feature. It uses more tape thus they sell more tape. Defective Products Product was broken when it arrived. I will be returning it. The two gifts I ordered were for my teenage granddaughter and both were defective. I was very embarrassed .
Too hard to use Do not like it
Seems too complicated. I just want to make labels ... Seems too complicated. I just want to make labels using different font sizes. I have had a Brother Label Maker a few years ago that was much easier to use.
It is easy to use but the tape was to wide It is easy to use but the tape was to wide. I had to buy a new one which was expensive.
