The tape cassettes are a different design, the older design won't work. It arrived promptly, works well, but I had to order new tape cassettes and discard the old ones.
Easier to use than older models We had an older P-Touch that had some irksome function. This is a delightful example of incremental improvement. Two line display for multi line labels. Delete all text without clearing settings. When spacing is set to narrow it lets you choose whether to feed. Takes wider tape for 3 line labels. Easily swap tapes.

I RECOMMEND THIS LABEL MAKER I have used an Epson label printer for 20 years. I could never figure it out except for the basics. Then one day I was working really hard and really fast and I did it for too long. I forgot I wasn't 20 anymore. I fainted holding the Epson printer, and it was in pieces on the floor. I use a labeler a lot. So I went shopping for a new one. Brother was cheaper than Epson, tape was also cheaper. So I gave it a try. IT IS SO EASY TO USE!! Works great and takes both 12mm & 18mm. Printing Labels I love this label machine it print good labels for labeling stuff in the kitchen bathroom every room in the house it's great.
Keyboard is too complicated and busy. Display is too small. Keyboard has too many buttons. How complicated can you make a simple function of making a label ? Always referring to the manual. Should be intuitive to learn. Regret this purchase.
