QL-810W - not as wireless as claimed We purchased two QL-810W. We understood that they were wireless and we would use them with iPads. What we found out is they are wireless if you get the additional battery module for them. Without it, I had to reformat the printer every time I disconnected it from power to move it. Once I purchased the battery module, it worked as advertised.
Good printer-Terrible support. Absolutely no instructions included with QL810W label printer. Hours or online phone support required to finally set up printer to operate. Finally operating properly after waiting more than thirty minutes each time for support to answer. Four calls of more than one hour required to set up printer to operate. Extremely difficult to obtain support..
Quick There are no simple instructions as to how to print a label. When I create on and then try to print, the power light on the printer blinks red and I get a pop-up that says "Paper installed is incompatible w/monochrome paper. At other times the label prints fine. I had a chat session and the tech reloaded all the drivers even though I had the latest ones installed. After the tech was finished, the same thing is happening. Can't connect to amazon Tablet I am using this printer at my church. I am connecting the Amazon tablet to the printer wirelessly. The tablet finds the printer but is constantly having a hard time to connect.
Awful instructions Very poor instructions. Could not get it to link with my laptop. Went online to brother to try and figure it out. Website was not helpful either. Definitely would not buy again. Went back to my ql 700 with a USB cable, just have to plug in printer when I get ready to do labels.
Keeps turning off I'm not sure if it's a low power mode or something, but the printer keeps turning off. I have to turn it back on manually (no wake over usb mode) and then once it's recognized, it can be used.
