I have told a friend and sent them to A Place for Mom too. My mom and I just had a talk about her experience there. I think it is an affordable facility for my mom, and she loves her studio apartment where she just brought her favorite things so it feels comfortable to her. She hates the food but not as much as she hated doing her own food. She agrees she's safer there, she likes that they clean her room including doing a load of towels and sheets (including stripping and remaking the bed). If you are looking for a place for your loved one, look no further. I have family in both independent and assisted living. This facility has proved to care for them and even myself beyond expectation. It is comfortable, clean, and very well kept- The staff is more than helpful and supportive. The skilled nurses and staff make it a point to treat everyone as they do family. It is avery positive environment where you truly feel like you belong. The intake person was very informative about the facility. Very supportive of the program and staff members who provided care for their residents. We were given a tour of the facility and rooms that were available. They facilitated a quick acceptance based on the evaluation process

All 5's except maybe food. No major complaints there, mom says it's not very creative/much variety. But she has not complained about the quality/ taste. My mom is super comfortable at Red Cedar Glen which is a huge comfort for me and my sister. They take great care of the residents. Special events for any/ every occasion/holiday ?? not a "snooty" place (in comparison to another place we visited when making our decision)

They've all been very sweet and helpful especially since she's had heart issues. the value for the money is great and is what stuck out about Red Cedar Glen initially over all other places we checked into.

[name removed] and I have no complaints . Our only concern was the lack of back up generator during the tornado . Luckily , we were able to get to her and bring her to our house . [name removed] is amazing . She is so friendly and really gets to know everyone. I don't remember the lady's name in the hair salon, but she does a great job juggling so many clients . She is very kind to my mother in law and helps her to feel beautiful having her hair done weekly .

There have been some plumbing issues for months. It has taken a while for the facility to address. They also had staffing issues that caused lapses in lab work being timely and personal attention to residents. I believe that is ok now. The cost is what really stuck out about Red Cedar Glen. My mother did not want anything that was too fancy or too costly. She has settled in quite nicely at RCG. The staff are all very caring.

Great and caring facility! Would not hesitate to go back. Friendliness from all staff and home like environment. Liked how Everything is on ground level.

Friendly staff, very helpful. My move in couldn't have been any better. The food, for the most part, was disgusting and never ready at scheduled times. For the most part I had food delivered. I also think someone needs to escort new people around for more than a day. I never even got that.
