We have not had a car serviced by a dealership for some time since we tend to drive our cars to the ground. As such, there are no manufacturer's warranties to apply to our current automobiles. Our current car is more recent (2022) and can be covered by the manufacturer (unlike previously owned cars). The costs for service is higher than my expectations, but if it keeps our car under warranty, we will pay it. This service did not take as long as I was told and it was somewhat cheaper.
