In the moment of a stressful circumstance with water leaking from two of my ceilings from the hurricane, I had Restoration 1 come to my home. While I am very appreciative, I was asked to sign on an IPad to allow them to evaluate my situation and in no means was I obligated to use them for the project. Horrible! They tore the duct work from the vents so HVAC blew dirt up from crawl space , removed the toilet but not the tile around it nor did they cap it off causing 3 smoke detectors to sound off, blocked the HVAC intake with “salvageable” wood, placed the vanity at the foot of the stairs making it almost impossible to use stairs, shared meter readings for 3 days, initially charged for removing 50 ft of cabinets, falsely stated approvals from my insurance provider. This companies clean up and drying out of the room was fantastic. I recommend them highly! However, do not work with this company as their supervisor Sean Rose won't return call despite telling you to call, and will tell you one thing and not follow thru with it and then later call you a liar. Stay clear of this company putting things back together as you will regret it.
1) They are rude, arrogant and have a know it all attitude. 2) When they sent their estimate to insurance company, they left out an entire room and we had to wait for insurance company to re-evaluate. 4 months I lived surrounded by boxes waiting for them to get it right. 3) I had to get another contractor to finish their job. Can’t comment on their companies work but their drivers will honk at you and flip you off if you hold them up for a second to let someone out
Jake showed up at my place, knocked a hole in the wall, put in an air scrubbing machine and left for 3 days while mold spores blew into my house from all the mold still in my walls. My daughter got very sick, spiked a fever of 103, as did my husband and I, then when he did return, he knocked some more holes in the wall, sprayed some chemical, and then got upset and walked off the job. Horrible experience. Over $1,000 billed to my insurance for 10minutes work. Dried mold still on studs, said his brush wouldn't fit. Unprofessional with an outrageous price tag.
