We did a whole house remodel and Deb and Cecil at Carpet One supplied all of the cabinets and finish materials. They helped us select wonderful products and stuck with us through the challenges of getting them in a timely manner. We love the result. Ginny Rutherford a WONDERFUL designer referred us to them. I would recommend them to anyone. They really went above and beyond.
Be aware of an issue I now have on my plush carpeting - This could happen to anyone, but they say it's less than 1% chance. I purchased Shaw carpeting from Carpet One and flooring August 2023 (whole house). In summer of 2024 I started noticing spots that looked dirty. I called Carpet one and got a referral to a carpet cleaning company and had it cleaned in Oct 2024. I have an interior design business in Fort Collins and have been here since 2000. I have worked with Dale's Carpet One on 3 different projects. There were issues each time but they took care of them until the last project I worked on. The client had used Dale's for previous work in the house and was satisfied. Purchased high grade carpet for entire downstairs of house from Hosner's in Canton OH. Totally dissatisfied with product and the company hid behind Mohawk's rejection of warranty claim to refuse to make this right. Chose them because of reputation and longstanding business in community. What a mistake. Carpet One also got involved and did same thing--once Mohawk rejected they were all "off the hook" for any responsibility for having a very unhappy customer. We researched and found carpet one had the best estimate for replacing a section of our carpet pad that had water damage. We only needed a section so we asked to test the pad in order to match it to the original. We stepped on the sample piece and appeared to be a match. We had it installed, then we walked on it, and it was a completely different feel under our feet then what we tested. We called twice and told them we were unhappy with the difference. I am a homebuilder in Tyler and had them put in wood flooring. Within months the glue down flooring was coming loose in about 70% of the house. I have zero luck with them getting them to fix the problem. I would not recommend this company ever.
The initial installation crew was offensive, insulting the builder behind her back, us and telling us there would be several upcharges after the salesman Robert told us there wouldn't be. Took the builder, one of her subs and myself to "request" the install team be removed and replaced. This crew apparently overcharged Carpet One for time lost and labor that Robert wanted to pass on to the builder and I. Still, he wants us to pay $500 for the mistake. Let's just say their quality control needs to improve. The staff members are nice, they have the best intentions to make your home beautiful but the end product always has something wrong. Because our contractor only deals with this company, we had to go with them multiple times but I wouldn't go back there because of the headaches (and heartaches) we had this last bastion Reno. DO NOT hire this company. We caught them stealing diamond rings & earrings from us. The jewelry was out of sight and they went through our belongings to steal them. I confronted the workers before they left our home and pulled the rings from their vehicle. I called the cops and filed complaints. Don't hire these thieves!
