Beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, lovely food.
Everything from start to finish was a first class and delicious. The service as attentive, but not overly so. Every plate we ordered was delicious. We had the Carpaccio for our appetizer. Beat salad and Caesar salads for the salad course and we had the duck ragu and veal cutlets for our main dishes. Each dish was amazing. We expected a great meal/evening and were not disappointed. It had been close to a year since we last ate at "the Risto". It wont be that long until we're back.
The food was great, as always. Tony is an excellent server!

From the moment we walked in - crisp and spotless - welcoming staff and table awaiting - perfect traditional cocktail - expansive and authentic menu - peer diners with similar expectations and celebrations -- and the food, oh yes, the food - beyond wonderful! Thanks for another very special evening!
We go here for significant events like our birthdays and anniversary or when we just want the best Italian food in Milwaukee. The food is always superb and although we are not big desert eaters, we can’t leave without having the tarimisu or caramel pudding.
Service was not what we expect from a Bartolotta restaurant
Overall, the service and food was good to very good. But, when presenting the individual checks for the other couple and us, they really messed up the math! We are monitoring our checking account daily waiting for the correction to be made. A personal visit might be necessary to resolve this issue. Also, if you present a ‘birthday month’ reward certificate, the 1/2 price promotion on a bottle of wine (under $100) is not allowed. To my knowledge, there was nothing in writing supporting this. Food was outstanding & improved from last few visits. Carpaccio was excellent as always. Season menu items we quite good. Missed the Pomodoro salad but seasonal was excellent replacement. Risotto with speck was super tasty. Duck ragu was back to original quality with flavour, sauce consistence and amount of sauce. Vitello was outstanding, almost wish it was on standard menu.
