Beware: they will attempt to overcharge you for installation by including the "waste" as installed material. For example, apparently a 50 square feet area will require 99 sf from the roll, which I understand. Thus, I would pay for 99 sf of material, of which only 50 sf is used. HOWEVER -- they then charge installation fees for the full 99sf even though they are only installing 50sf, which in my case doubles the quote. I called to verify this and was told that's just how they do business. Friendly staff otherwise.

On November 22, 2016, we paid Rite Rug Flooring $1,400 for wood laminate flooring for a small family room. (Order # CG6AH8T7.) On December 1, 2016, Rite Rug Flooring sent 3 employees/contractors to our house to install the flooring. During the process, the Rite Rug installers broke the gas line to the gas fire place. Two of the three Rite Rug employees fled the house as emergency phone calls were placed to the fire department and Columbia Gas. I am in the market for flooring. I entered the retail store, advised the gentleman I was in the market to put less than 1000 sq feet of laminate down, without me looking at any flooring, telling him where it was going, he immediately said "that will be about $8000". WTH? This is not my first go around at the flooring rodeo! I questioned him, after he asked me no questions at all, "8000?"
