Good doctor, but be aware that he doesn't prescribe contraceptives.

Dr Lawler is in the same group as Dr Kelly and they are both the best ones in the practice. Dr. Lawler took extra time to make sure I was comfortable and was always very compassionate

My first visit was when I was 3 weeks pregnant. The fetus was too small to hear the heartbeat but doctor insisted I needed and USG. Of course it didn't show much except for a tiny black dot. I was charged $560 being told it was a missed period. What? I am pregnant and doctor saw my fetus. It should be a part of the pregnancy charges. On the top of it he told me I can have miscarriage based on nothing. Then he sent me for a blood work. My progesterone was in norm but he prescribed super expensive vaginal progesterone $300 for... read more

I saw Dr Lawler because of an ovarian cyst that was discovered on a previous MRI. I was experiencing extreme back pain, cramps, and nausea. I ended up loosing my job in fact because the pain was so bad. He explained that the back pain was non-gyn related and that my cramps and nausea couldn't be coming from this "tiny" cyst (8cm) and that it couldn't be so bad if I wasn't rushing to the ER. My wife and I went to him twice; 1st pregnancy ended in early miscarriage... and he sent us HOME instead of performing the D&C (or at least having us stay in the same hospital for it). We went to another hospital two days later, when she started hemorrhaging. When she was pregnant the second time, Dr. Lawler did not have her come in on her due date, and then when we took ourselves in a few days past it, Dr. Kelly sent us home after 4 hours waiting in a hospital room for my wife to be induced. Our child was finally delivered ... read more

I have been seeing Dr. Lawler for many years. At first he was very good, however, in the past few years he seems to be sleep walking through the appointments and was rude to me when I was saw him for side effects from hormone replacement therapy. This was totally out of character for him in my experience, but I was very offended just the same. My 16 year old daughter was mistreated by him as she has terribly long periods and he did not want to prescribe birth control pills to help her manage her condition. He never examined ... read more

Be careful here. Dr. Lawler made a 22-year-old girl, who only had one sexual partner, cry because she wanted birth control. Told her she shouldn't be having sex until there was a ring on her finger. He is a good doctor, but he definitely lets his beliefs get in the way of his practice.
