I appreciated the effort to resolve issues prior to worrying us with the knowledge that something might need to be inspected/serviced, but I would rather have been informed immediately about any potential issues. Knowing there may be an issue, but then having the reassurance that it was being addressed by the team and that we would get timely updates would've been better than finding out there was an issue after being informed that everything was already ready to go.
