Horrible company in general. Watched my mom suffer for over 4 hours. Had to call 5 times in one night. Nurse on call was the only one...when having multiple patients on a watchlist this just doesnt make sense to me.. Pronouncing other patients deceased took precedence over getting an actively breathing patient comfortable. Medication came before anyone even explained all of it and then was still told to administer the medicine. My mother wanted to do Hospice at home. So her oncologist recommended Longleaf. The only good about Longleaf was they have great nurses. The Volunteer Coordinator or whatever her title was met with us and basically lied. Never had a volunteer available. She claimed if no volunteer was available she would come. first it was give us a week notice. then they needed a 3 week notice. she said they would deliver flowers to my mom. nope all lies. It has been 11 years since my father passed. We hired longleaf to come to his home for hospice care. This company should have paid our family to take care of our father. They were never there when needed!! On the very worse night of his life they tried to give us instructions on what to do over the phone!!!! Expectation of the sale on initial interview was nothing compared to experience. Complete disappointment. I needed and would have chosen a private nurse. Longleaf oversold what they could not deliver. Or I would agree I may have been too naive to have asked the right questions. That's a disappointment and taking advantage of the situation from what they promised. Important for my friends putting current expectation in my heartbroken disappointment.
