We called ahead to let the office know we were running 10 minutes late. When we checked in, the receptionist said we were very late. When we explained that we left a message, she looked on her computer and saw the message. Then the nurse said that my 16-year-old daughter had to go into the exam room alone. When I explained that she has anxiety and I needed to be there, too, she was not very nice about it.

I’ve been experiencing heavy bleeding for over 20 years this is the 6th doctor I’ve been through and still can’t get an answer or why ultrasounds haven’t shown anything. Was recommended by a physician I work for was told I’d feel like home and I didn’t. As well I brought my most recent records had the girl in the front copy them however the dr didn’t have them and I had to give her my own copies. This was my very 1st visit - the doctor was the most insensitive rude person. Her approach to education on risk factors lacked empathy, was demoralizing and filled with what she said “ I hope I’ve scared you” - none of which are an effective approach!! She asked me if she should write me a script for a wheelchair because I’m obese and if I stay this way, I’ll need it. Schedule an appointment online for a medical visit, get a phone call from a woman who ask for insurance & as time went by she became rude telling me that she needed to reschedule me till December bc my annual pap was done on that month. So she cancel the appointment, I have seen Dr.Sanderson before & I like her so I called again this other lady re-schedule for Monday but when I came into the office the receptionist look afraid to even speak to me. The office staff are so difficult every time I call. They are always rude and completely forgot my appointment most recently. I dread having to call to make appts or deal with anyone besides the doctors.

I’m always a little nervous about appointments but this one was terrible. Doctor basically spoke over me the entire time especially when I tried to ask questions, which made me even more nervous! And the process even more difficult for obvious reasons. I tried to tell her to stop trying to console me because it only made the process harder, the doctor continued to stab around until she was finally done. Left the office in tears, definitely sticking to the West Orange location from now on...
