I have had Rumpke service for over a year and never had a problem until 2 weeks ago when they never picked up my trash. I have called their 800 number numerous times and have been told it would be picked up "today". It has never been picked up. Now the wind has blown over the cans and animals have strewed the trash everywhere. I have been forced to go out in the bitter wind and cold and try to retrieve what trash I could from my yard. We placed our trash by the road on Monday last week, for our Tuesday pick-up. The weather was nasty on Tuesday, which my husband and I understand; however, it is Sunday and our trash is still sitting there. We have called 3 times to try to get our trash picked up. Twice, our request was expedited. We deserve much better service than that, especially with the increases weve had in our payment over the last year. After recent snowy weather my trash was never picked up and after talking to them a few times yesterday and today they have notified me that our trash is just being disregarded until next week instead of delaying and changing to a holiday schedule they have completely missed our service day and are stating they will just pick up next week. My trash is over flowing in my bins already and now it will be all over the ground by next week. If I could leave less than 1 star I would. I was having issues with a trash service that was offered through the township I live in. I decided to call Rumpke and start their service instead as of November 2, 2025. Rumpke within 24 hours came and dropped the cans off, and service was setup no issue. We put trash out for 2 weeks after, and nothing was being picked up. After calling every day for over a week, we still couldn't get the issue resolved. They missed a pick up, I called and was told they would pick my garbage up the next day. They never picked it up. I called every day for a total of four days for them to pick up my garbage. They never did. I was even told by a costumer *** that they didnt even have to talk to me. What a joke of a company. I can see why they have a 3 star rating for picking up garbage.

Im extremely disappointed with the service Ive received from Rumpke regarding a stolen trash can. Our can was taken in early September, and although the collection crew noted the serial number and promised a replacement, nothing arrived. I followed up by submitting the online form for lost/stolen cans not once, but twice and received conflicting emails. The trash is picked up weekly. I have a Rumpke trashcan but often have more than what what we sit so I have been putting out my own personal additional trashcan. Over the space of two months Rumpke has dropped broken or ruined two perfectly decent, wheeled, lidded trash cans. When I called Rumpke, they say they werent reliable for breaking the trashcans, I told her I paid $450 a month for our farm plus the monthly fee for the house. She really didnt care. No communication, no customer service, and a lack of all accountability. This company is worse than the trash they collect. I truly hope Waste Management and the other waste companies knock this company off the face of the earth. Would we miss them it they crumbled? No, we would probably celebrate!
